Dr. Luke Van Kirk is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of Command Family Medicine, a pioneering direct primary care clinic in Springfield, Missouri. With a strong belief in restoring the doctor-patient relationship and eliminating the red tape of insurance-based healthcare, Dr. Van Kirk offers a membership-based model that provides patients with increased access, transparency in pricing, and affordable care—including wholesale medications, labs, and procedures.

Dr. Van Kirk earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, after completing his undergraduate degree in Biology (with a minor in Chemistry) from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. He completed his residency at Cox Family Medicine Residency in Springfield, where he gained extensive experience in full-spectrum family care and emergency medicine.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Van Kirk is actively involved in medical research. He serves as a Primary Investigator at Delricht Research and a Sub-Investigator with Sharlin Health Neuroscience Research Center. His passion for advancing healthcare access also led to the founding of Command Health, a second clinic location opened in 2024.

Dr. Van Kirk holds multiple certifications and licenses, including Missouri State Medical License, ABFM Board Certification, and DEA licensure. He is also certified in Nexplanon placement.

Beyond his clinical and research roles, Dr. Van Kirk is deeply committed to service. He has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Springfield Southeast Rotary Club, and humanitarian efforts including Hurricane Katrina relief and outreach programs for the homeless.
